WHY IT MATTERS

Planted to Flourish

This capital campaign is not about buying a building, but welcoming the lonely, lost, and least into the life of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We want to buy this building so that we are rooted in the Stratton Meadows neighborhood for generations to come and can continue walking the way of Jesus, proclaiming the truth of Jesus and be drawn into the life of Jesus right here.

We were PLANTED here

Hear from Pastor Eric about the story of Restoration’s planting in this community — and the many ways God has called us to stay here.

We have PARTNERED here

Our partnership with Family Life Services is foundational to our desire to purchase this building. Hear from Executive Director Tonya Lark about their ministry in this community, and the ways we have partnered together.

We are part of this COMMUNITY

Stratton Meadows is not just where Restoration is located — it’s where we call home. This video details our partnership in this community, especially highlighting our work with Stratton Meadows Elementary.

Want to learn more?

We longed to worship and work in the south side of our city because we loved what God was already up to in this community. We didn’t just see where we were needed, we knew we needed to be with and learn from and love the people of Stratton Meadows. Through a miraculous partnership with Family Life Services we have been able to worship and work in this neighborhood rent free since our very first day in September 2024. Family Life Services believed this community needed more than financial resources, it also needed spiritual resources flowing into it as well.

We have seen this to be true. In addition to growing to a small but mighty church family of 130 people worshiping every Sunday, we have welcomed ESL classes for refugees, hosted gatherings for artists, welcomed neighborhood gatherings, hosted breakfasts for the local elementary school, helped to establish a food pantry for the neighborhood, delivered food to families in need, and grown in our resolve that this is where God planted us.

Family Life Services is now engaged in their Reimagined, Rebuilt Village of Family Life that will provide 19 new units for single moms and their children leaving behind homelessness and domestic violence. So they need to sell the church building we are currently meeting in. This means your gift to the Roots of Restoration Capital Campaign not only helps to establish a church in this community, but it also makes possible 19 homes for 19 families—more than doubling the current capacity.

Finding a space to gather and worship as a church in our city is an increasingly difficult reality. Getting to worship in a Church Building on a Sunday morning is nearly impossible for a church plant. But by God’s grace that’s what we have been doing rent free. We now have the incredible opportunity to put down roots in our neighborhood and send the message that we are here to stay. Our goal is to raise $1.5 million dollars. That will allow us to buy the building outright and cover all required electrical and safety updates.

Paying for the building in full will allow us to continue to focus our funds on ministry to our neighborhood and care for our church family. As a new church plant we have chosen to be generous giving away over 20% of our income to local community partners and church planting. We want this facility to empower that type of ongoing generosity and not distract from it.

In short, the same miraculous provision God has provided so far! Specifically, generous and sacrificial giving from all of us who call Restoration home. All of us are being invited to give above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings over the next couple of years. But we know we will also need a lot of large outside donors and partners as well. We are inviting churches, businesses, and individuals to invest in what God is doing through Restoration and Family Life Services.
