A Story of Restoration
The story of Restoration Anglican Church is one of God’s extravagant, unearned gifts. Of restoring all that was lost, and finding beauty in the ashes. Everything from our name, to our church building to our ministry partner is an example of how God is at work, and we get to be His instruments in this broken, redeemable world.

Our Name
The very name Restoration Anglican Church, was an unearnable gift. Deacon Paula Ladefoged began Restoration Anglican Mission in Monte Vista, Colorado in 2021. Sadly, Deacon Paula’s husband, Joel, tragically passed away in 2023, and Paula closed the doors of the mission — but not her ministry to the people of Monte Vista. God placed the name Restoration on the Core Team’s heart and Pastor Eric brought that to Deacon Paula. When asked how she would feel about this new church plant using the name, Paula responded “I would feel like I had died and gone to heaven.” And Restoration Anglican Church was born.
Our Home
Finding a church building tends to be the hardest things for a new church plant. The choice is often between a temporary space that burns out staff and volunteers, or a space that drains bank accounts and prevents real, life-giving ministry from happening. When we were approached by Family Life Services to have a shared space with minimal impact on budget, and the ability to serve an under-resourced part of the city, we knew this was yet another gift that we didn’t deserve.

Our Partners
From its inception, Restoration Anglican Church did not want to be a place people came to on Sundays and did occasional “local mission trips” to the surrounding community. We were not about taking advantage of low real-estate prices, but of actually living and working in the community where we worship. Family Life Services has been a part of the south-side of Colorado Springs for decades. They know the needs and have served faithfully. To get to partner with this amazing ministry means that our church’s life-breath is in the community surrounding us. Worship is not just music and sermons, it is walking together through the good and bad, the joy and the grief, and partnering with our neighbors in every sense of the word.
