Our Ministries
Sunday Services
Our worship service consists of two parts, the Service of the Word, and the Service of the Sacrament. These two elements are equally important as the Word of God reveals Jesus and prepares us to receive him in the Sacrament. This pattern follows the early Church of the Book of Acts, who “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). Each Sunday, you will find a place to participate in prayer, Scripture reading, confession, music and Holy Communion.
Kids
At Restoration Kids (birth through 4th grade) we want kids to know and experience that they are an essential part of Restoration as they are integrated into the full life of the Church. Your kids are not just welcomed in the worship service, they are wanted. The gathered church is the primary place kids are formed and we believe their presence forms us as well. We do have kid-specific discipleship and programming during the sermon where kids are formed with their developmental stage in mind. Kids then rejoin all of us as we come to the table together. In addition to weekend worship and programming, we prioritize resourcing and walking with you as you continue to love and lead your child as the primary disciple-maker of your household.
Students
Restoration Students (5th-12th grade) is built on the same mission as Restoration Anglican Church; this means students are integrated into the full life of the church now to participate, serve and lead! In addition to the weekend worship, we also create unique spaces, which include weekly Environments, yearly Events and seasonal Experiences and for students to grow in their relationship with God, with other students and adult leaders. Finally, we strongly believe that parents and guardians are the primary discple makers of their households and to that end we prioritize resourcing and walking with you as you continue to love and lead your student.
Umuganda Days
Restoration is committed to a Communal Way of Life where we serve our city together every other month. We use the Rwandan word, “Umuganda” (which means coming together) because we learned this from our Rwandan brothers and sisters. The entire country of Rwanda gathers on the last Saturday of every month to serve their community. We are not simply borrowing this idea from them, we are entering into ongoing partnership with them as we continue to learn from them how to faithfully follow Jesus.
Meal Groups
A Meal Group is a handful of households that live in close proximity, who gather regularly around the table to feast, read Scripture, pray, and care for each other. We believe by prioritizing people and place over preferences, we can learn to become more like Jesus.
Missional Communities
Missional Communities are geographic gatherings of 2-4 Meal Groups who are living on mission together for the good of others. These gatherings are designed as a safe place to invite friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors for fun and feasting.
Family Life ServIces
We partner with Family Life Services in a variety of ways. Often our Umuganda events will be dedicated to serving on their campus, and we also partner with Women of Courage, their outreach to single moms and their families in Colorado Springs. Restoration is excited to join this incredible ministry, and we encourage you to find your own ways of ministering to these amazing families!
